The entire Ci creative and account team was shocked, SHOCKED, by the frou frou level of extravagance rolled out for last Thursday night’s Ad Rodeo “Meet The Judges” event, which was hosted somewhere underneath Banker’s Hall in downtown Calgary.

For the nominal fee of $20 per person, Calgary’s advertising community was treated to two different kinds of beer (at an additional $5 each), both “red” and “white” wine ($5 for either kind), as well as one truly amazing (and completely complimentary) plate of mini-donuts which was divided equally among the estimated 80 “beautiful people” in attendance. This charming pile of donuts was lovingly dumped on a plate, and more than compensated for the “let’s all skip dinner” event itinerary which ran from 5:30pm ’til 8 o’clock in the evening.

Ci Creative Director Ernest Burden was draped in vintage Palmer Jarvis couture, and was accompanied by a mystery woman of unknown company affiliation. Photos of the event are expected to be posted on the tasteful and highly respected celebrity gossip site TMZ.com by weeks-end.
